St. Louis Blues are for sale!

Thanks to the NHL lockout, the Lauries have decided to put the St. Louis Blues team up for sale! Gee, I wonder why! Could it be that there was NO ticket sales last year because the OWNERS lockout the players! And the PLAYERS and OWNERS could not stop fighting long enough to site down and have a reasonable conversation. Neither side would give an inch on their contract proposals and here it is nearly summer and they still have not gotten anything done! I wonder how many other team owners will follow the Lauries in selling their teams. It makes me sad to see this happen to my favorite ice sport :(
On the heals of this news the company that currently owns the naming rights to the "Home of the St. Louis Blues", is withdrawing from the naming agreement! So that means IF the Blues find a new owner and IF they keep the team in St. Louis, they will be playing in a arena with a different name!
More on this can be found if you do a little searching at Stltoday.com search for an article titled "Lauries to sell Blues, Savvis lease."

Rules of BBQ

Barbecuing is the only type of cooking a real man will do. When a man declares he will BBQ the following chain of events is put into motion.

1) The woman goes to the store and buys everything
2) The woman makes the salad, vegetables, and dessert.
3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man, who is lounging beside the grill, beer in hand.
4) The man places the meat on the grill.
5) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning.
7) The man takes the meat off the grill and hands it to the woman.
8) The woman prepares the plate and brings them to the table.
9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
10) Everyone praises man and thanks him for his cooking efforts.
11) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed her night off. And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just NO pleasing a woman.

Ugly Witch

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.
The question?....What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.
He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.
Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer.
But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.
The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first.
The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend!
Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.
He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur.
He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.
Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus:
What a woman really wants, she answered....is to be in charge of her own life.
Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared.
And so it was, the neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.
The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.
The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.
Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night?
Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments?
What would YOU do?
What Lancelot chose is below. BUT....make YOUR choice before you scroll down below. OKAY?

Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself.
Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.
Now....what is the moral to this story?

Scroll down

The moral is.....
If you don't let a woman have her own way....

Things are going to get ugly!

Surf the web anonymously

Before I tell you how, let me tell you about the organization that is funding this application that lets you surf the web anonymously. They are called "Electonic Frontier Foundation" or EFF, for short. Who are they? Here is their mission and who they are, from the horses mouth so to speak.
If America's founding fathers had anticipated the digital frontier, there would be a clause in the Constitution protecting your rights online, as well.

Instead, a modern group of freedom fighters was necessary to extend the original vision into the digital world.

That's where the Electronic Frontier Foundation comes in.

Just as Patriots fought for liberty and freedom, we fight measures that threaten basic human rights. Only the dominion we defend is the vast wealth of digital information, innovation, and technology that resides online.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is a group of passionate people, lawyers, technologists, volunteers, and visionaries, working in the trenches, battling to protect your rights and the rights of web surfers everywhere. The dedicated people of EFF challenge legislation that threatens to put a price on what is invaluable; to control what must remain boundless.

Electronic Frontier Foundation: Because being able to share ideas and information is the reason the Web was created in the first place!*
So if you like using your IPod to play your favorite music or watching your favorite movie that you have "Tivo'd" this group is fighting for your rights to use these devices!
O.K. let get back to the title of this post "surf the web anonymously." How can you do this and why would you want to do this? Everything you do on the web can be tracked. All your emails, IRC chats, downloads and sites you visit can be seen and read by anyone on the web with the righequipmentnt and software. So if you don't want anyone to know that you are checking out company "XYZ" while your at work working for the competitor "ABC" company, this program is for you. Thanks to EFF you can do this anonymously. With the program called "Tor" every where you go on the web your IP address and other tracking information will not be shared with the website you visit. Currently, many websites alter the information you see depending on what country you come from, your Internet provider, or whether you've previously visited the site. This tracking information is also stored by many websites and can be used to profile users, as well as made available to the government or private parties in litigation. More worrisome, the ability to track Internet users can create physical risks for those such as human rights workers and domestic violence victims. Tor protects against this sort of privacy invasion, called "traffic analysis," by obscuring the route your communications take through the Internet.**
You can find "Tor" here, if this sounds like a program for you. Oh, did I mention that it is a FREE program. If you would like to find out more about the EFF and what other rights and products they are fighting save look here.
